PUBLIC NOTICE

PURPOSE: The City of Garfield is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at Garden Court East Park located at Garden Ct. Park, Garfield, NJ 07026 (Block: 119.03, Lot: 271)

PROJECT SCOPE: The City of Garfield proposes to create the following new facilities at Garden Court East Park: installation of a new, completely inclusive playground. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found at: https://www.garfieldnj.org/News/View/3519/public-hearing-announcement.

PUBLIC HEARING INFORMATION: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing in part with the Mayor and Council meeting to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan. The meeting will take place on January 21, at 5:00 PM and the public hearing on the grant application will begin at 6:00PM. The meeting will be conducted in-person at The City of Garfield Council Chambers, located 111 Outwater Lane, Garfield, NJ 07026.
