DHS Honors Championship Teams from 1984
The 1984 Dumont High School Football and Women’s Cross Country Track Championship Teams, along with members of the 1984 Cheerleading team, were honored before the September 27, 2024 home football game with Westwood. On hand to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of this amazing year of Dumont Husky Athletic history were former coaches, teachers, family and friends. The special event was co-sponsored by the Dumont Hall of Fame Committee and the Dumont Athletic Department. A special thanks to Hall of Fame Committee members, Mr. David Cieplicki and Mrs. Lynne Vetri, and DHS Athletic Director, Mr. Joseph Sutera for coordinating their efforts to make this celebratory event a truly memorable one.

Dumont BOE Member Recognized as a Certified Board Member
Dumont Board of Education Trustee, Mrs. Theresa “Teri” Riva was recently recognized by the Bergen County School Board’s Association for attaining “Certified Board Member (CBM) status. To receive this certification, board members must attend New Jersey School Board Association (NJSBA) academy programs in at least four of the CBM (Certified Board Member) core areas.

DHS Honors Senior Sisters at the 2024 Unsung Heroes Student Recognition Ceremony
On Tuesday, March 5th, the Bergen County School Boards Association held its annual Unsung Heroes Student Recognition Ceremony at Henry P. Becton Regional High School in East Rutherford, NJ. For this event, school districts were asked to nominate a high school senior who has overcome difficult academic or personal challenges, models good citizenship or exhibits a spirit and quiet strength that inspires others.
