Created in 2011 by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Off the Sidelines helps organize and mobilize women to participate in politics, set the local and national policy agenda, and hold elected leaders accountable.

Off the Sidelines provides supporters with information on candidates running for Senate and House and offers candidates a platform to lift up their voices and power their campaigns. Kirsten uses her platform and Off the Sidelines to elevate the issues that affect women, families and marginalized communities.

My advice to women is this: Don’t wait for a white knight in Washington. You will wait forever.

Since its launch, Off the Sidelines PAC has directly raised $12 million for women candidates across the country and inspired women’s giving circles around the country, which have raised an additional $15 million for women candidates.
